Wrinkles
Wrinkles can be many things. Signs of aging. Indicators of a life well lived. Some view them as smile marks. Mark Twain said, “Wrinkles should merely indicate where smiles have been.” Ultimately, wrinkles are stories. Stories of worry, pain, victory, celebration, humor. Wrinkles are the stories of our lives.
Wisdom in Unexpected Places
Wisdom can be found in unexpected places. One such place for me was an antique store. I was in a small town on the coast of California. Joni and I were with some friends. We were meandering our way through the rooms full of stuff. It was a homage to the line, one person’s trash is another person’s treasure.
What I Know
John Maxwell has a five-day-a-week short leadership challenge. It is called Minute with Maxwell. A typical quip revolves around a word, or a phrase, submitted by either one of his team members, or a listener.
He will often use this phrase, “Here’s what I know.” I appreciate when he does this. At that moment he will be providing an insight from his many years of leadership experience.
